Polly Carmichael has left Mormonism and her husband.  She is ready to start her new life and starts to keep lists to track all the things 50 year olds should already know.  When she starts dating for the first time as an adult, will she learn enough to create the new life she dreamed of?  Or will life in the pandemic clip her wings before she learns to fly? 

It's 1988 and 18 year old Beth Shields thinks she has the world figured out.  She marries the man of her dreams in a less than dreamy Mormon wedding.  But 40 years later, a tragic event has her reconsidering her life's choices.  

It's 1993, and a young American medical student, Deborah Ryder, has a chance to visit Russia and finally use her Russian degree.  The trip goes NOTHING as planned, and amidst chaos, illness, police encounters, and extreme hunger, she has a chance to see her life in a whole new way.
